The Master of the Dojo takes care of Max and May - as their guardian - and as a promise to their parents. He keeps the Sword of The Sea safe - until it is ready to be returned to the waters.

When Max finds the Sword's tsuba - Master knows things are about to change. He tells the kids more about their Dad - and what they were searching for. Master knows the WaterStyle martial arts and teaches it to Max and May.
